Dracula & Daughters by Emma Carroll

Mina has come up with a plan.

Desperate to become a doctor, she devises a plan to steal the body of the recently buried actress Elsie Irving. If she can do this, surely Dr Polidori will let her train to be a doctor with the male students.

When she arrives in the dead of night at the cemetery, she discovers she is not the only one at the graveside. Added to that, the grave has obviously been disturbed and is empty. Could it be true that Miss Irving has become a vampire?

Further revelations come thick and fast as Mina learns that she and her sister, Buffy, have a cousin, Bella. The three flame haired girls discover they are Dracula’s granddaughters! If they work together, their powers become stronger and they are able to decipher the mysterious medical text written by Professor Lucy Westenra.

Is there a chance vampires can be healed?

Can Mina Buffy, and Bella find a way to use their combined skills to rescue their friend, Varney, from a horrible death at the hands of Dr Polidori before the next new moon.

Why has the Guildmaster, Mr Helsing been using his factory to create a stockpile of Vampire tins, apparently supposed to help fight the Contagion?

A superb tale of friendship, family and the strength, courage and ability of three intelligent girls working in harmony.

With so much at stake, the drama twists and turns on every page at a breathtaking pace.

Dracula & daughters is a wonderfully absorbing tale, one to really get your teeth into!
