The Moggie Thit Meowed Too Much by Emma Grae

We are delighted to be taking part today in the wonderful BLOG TOUR for the heart-warming tale, ‘The Moggie Thit Meowed Too Much’ by Emma Grae.

After her Granny passes, Skye and her family move into her trinket-filled house. They’ve not only inherited a lovely new home but also her very vocal cat, Lottie.
Skye is scared of many things. The dark, the girl who bullies her at school, her upcoming operation to remove her tonsils and much more. Lottie isn’t scared of anything and likes to hide in cupboards, on top of the kitchen units and under the beds. She meows A LOT.
Skye and Lottie soon become friends and they help each other with the loss of Granny as she settles in her new surroundings. Broken plates, getting stuck behind the boiler and taking her first steps outside are just a few of the moments of mayhem Lottie brings into Skye’s life.
When a black shadow flits and flights, it’s up to Skye to solve the mystery behind the creepy vision, what it means for Lottie and how an unassuming stone cat that sits in their neighbour’s garden might have a part in the chaos that ensues.
The house with the turret has more secrets than they’d ever imagined before…

Emma Grae has written a fantastic children’s story, in Scots, of the friendship through grief a girl and her inherited cat embrace. Lottie certainly brings her share of mayhem too.

A heart-warming tale,  The Moggie Thit Meowed Too Much conveys everything she is scared of in life and beyond. Family and friends are what help us move on when someone passes and this is an excellent choice to help with that transition – finding support in the unlikeliest of places.
Bob Dewar captures the very chatty cat, Lottie and all the other characters so well in his illustrations.
