12 year-old black belt, Modesty (Mo) Seto, has never let her height get in the way before.
Determined to be a Taekwondo champion, she must turn around her losing streak and start winning competitions before her dreams fade. Now she needs to find a way to grow five inches for the role of a lifetime AND her nemesis and tall, Dax, has auditioned too! All is not what it seems when the movie set is sabotaged and her dad goes missing – both events linked to a mysterious literary artifact that holds many ancient secrets, some of them are about Xiaoxi Fu, a martial art used by Mo’s ancestral grandmother.

As she embraces her family history and the martial art she loves, she becomes more confident in her craft. Mo begins an adventure like no other to save her dad, learning to trust in her abilities along the way, realise her dreams and in doing so making her height irrelevant to her cause. When all seems lost Mo finds the courage and belief that she can succeed and the reader is taken along for an exhilarating ride as she conquers those who put her down and the negative thoughts that cloud her judgement, ready to fight once again.
A Y Chan has created a fantastic fast-paced adventure series for all, with incredible illustrations by Amber Ren.

Not only does it delve into family relationships, it also encourages self-belief when everything is against you.
A truly unique insight into the discipline and respect learning and competing in a martial art can be, The Legendary Mo Seto emboldens those who perhaps don’t see how incredible they really are until they step out of their comfort zone and face it all head on.
