It’s been almost a year (!) since I took over My Book Corner from the brilliant Emma Perry, a blog she carefully built up over ten years, but I’ve been so busy coming out of the Jurassic age and getting to grips with the website that I hadn’t really put my own spin on it.
Now that I’ve settled into the role and am keeping my head above water (just!) with the tech side, I felt it was time to stretch out a little.
Luckily for me, along with the website, right-hand-lady Sarah Broadley, and an avalanche of wonderful new reads, I also inherited a great team of reviewers, one of whom is the wonderful Tita Berredo – illustrator extraordinaire!
I was already a fan of Tita’s style, so it was a no-brainer to bring her onboard for My Book Corner’s new image. The team dedicates a lot of time to promoting the work of both authors and illustrators, so it made sense to have a kidlit artist create our new logo.
I LOVE how Tita has updated our existing image in her own inimitable style. Tita is wonderful to work with and has a real ‘can do’ attitude (and a multitude of tech skills, too!). She’s made this whole process super smooth, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be sharing her work with you. I can’t wait to take the blog forward with its fab new look!
