
Laura is a primary school teacher with a Masters of Education in Children’s Literature. She loves writing for children and regularly critiques the work of fellow writers.
Laura won the 2017 High Sheriff of Cheshire’s Prize for Literature, with an extract of her current work-in-progress (a novel for middle grade readers). She won the ‘Aspiring’ (unpublished) Picture Book Category at the CYA conference 2017 and was long-listed for the Bath Children’s Novel award in 2016. She has been published in the Hysteria Flash Fiction anthology and has had several short stories and poems shortlisted in competitions.
Laura has taught in primary schools in Spain, The Netherlands and England and she currently lives in Bath with her husband and two young sons.
